The Senior Hardware Engineer will perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of electronic components at the printed circuit board, chip, and wafer level. The Senior Hardware Engineer will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of hardware and software engineers to assess microelectronic component designs and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
  • BS in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or related technical field)
  • 7 years of experience
  • Patient, detailed, and follows good safety practices
  • Technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field)
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems or electronic components
  • Experience processing microelectronic components and semiconductor materials using techniques and systems including any of:

                        o Mechanical grinding and polishing

                        o Wet chemical processing

                        o Reactive plasma etching

                        o Thin film deposition

                        o Ion beam milling or sputtering

  • Experience using optical microscopes or scanning electron microscopes for sample inspection
  • Knowledge of electronic packaging, integrated circuits (ICs), failure analysis techniques, and semiconductor fabrication 

**This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.** 

Clearance Requirement: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Credit Check
  • Subject Interview
