The Senior Systems Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems, ultimately providing support for the escalation and communication of problem status to agency management and internal customers. Additionally, customers. Additionally, the Senior Systems Administrator will configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, while also troubleshooting, maintaining, and configuring network components and implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
- BS in Information Technology (or any related technical field)
- 10+ years of experience providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.15 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Ability to provide Tier 2/Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Experience managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Experience restarting accounts and patching remotely.
- Lab experience standing up and managing servers.
- Experience optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Experience configuring and managing Windows operations systems and installing/loading operating system software.
- Experience working in an iterative and agile development environment.
- Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- MS in Information Technology (or related technical field)
- Windows Operating System experience
- CompTIA certifications
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with basic network administration
**This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.**
Clearance Requirement: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
